Lenny Lopes is a Brazilian artist who lives and works in London.
Her abstract works in bright colors are made in acrylic on canvas. Lenny’s uses different techniques in her arts, expressing herself in large formats. She uses different tools, including different types and sizes of spatulas, frames and with the support of a turntable, she lets herself be carried away by the psychedelic, llusionistic, surreal form that she call Spinning Art. In the Art Pop style, Lenny takes advantage of technology using her own digital photographs to create beautiful graphic effects on canvas and to finish with a mixed technique, she uses resin with pigments and Dimonte Dust.
She says that she has a lot of fun developing her unique techniques and is not afraid of making mistakes, because for Lenny, imperfection is also beautiful. Through her work, Lenny attempts to show the beauty of color within a contemporary cultural context.
Present in several Brazilian and international collective and individual exhibitions. Her works are part of private collections in different countries around the world.
October 11th 2023, renowned artist Lenny Lopes left her charitable mark by donating a splendid Artwork during the “Top Of Mind” in London. The work, a creative tribute to the iconic George Michael, was auctioned in favor of Fraternity Without Borders in England, aiming to benefit children assisted by the institution.
The canvas, titled “Faith, with imposing dimensions of 180×140cm, reveals Lenny Lopes’ mastery of mixed techniques. Her choice to pay homage to George Michael, not only for his musical legacy, but also for his philanthropic actions, highlights shared values between artist and honoree.
During the event, Lenny Lopes shared the space with a caravan of notable women, including art curator Ana Arcioni, who described the work as a remarkable expression of Lenny’s cultural diversity and empathy. The auction, an integral part of the event, was attended by nine women engaged in different areas,
united by a noble purpose.
Lenny Lopes is no stranger to solidarity, as evidenced by her volunteer efforts in Mozambique, where she taught art courses to children from Fraternidade Sem Fronteira. Her commitment to sharing technical knowledge and inspiring young artists reflects his dedication to promoting self-confidence and determination.
